Gunnar Cyrén, was a Swedish silversmith, glass artist and industrial designer.

Cyrén studied in the metal department at Högre konstindustriella skolan in Stockholm and held journeyman certificates as both goldsmith and silversmith. In 1959, he was hired as a designer at Orrefors, where he created some of his most famous pieces.

Cyrén designs are celebrated for their elegance, innovation, and craftsmanship. Some of his most sought-after items at auction today is the crystal bowl Sofiero and the tableware sets Karolina and Nobel. The tableware set Nobel was made by Cyrén in 1991 for the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize, the set include his hand-painted schnapps glasses, known as "Djävulsglasen”.

One of his last major assignments was designing a glass service for U.S. embassies, commissioned by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. This project highlighted his international recognition and the widespread appreciation of his work.
