Ceramics from the collection of a Gentleman: Part II

One might think it's the title of a cult novel – "Ceramics from the Collection of a Gentleman." Instead, it's about 49 selected Scandinavian pieces now presented by Crafoord Auctions in Lund. Here, works by Stig Lindberg and Wilhelm Kåge mingle with creations by Jais Nielsen and Hans Hedberg. A shining delicacy by Berndt Friberg in the turquoise-brown-purple-grey hues of Aniara glaze stands out as one of the highlights. This also includes Sören Kongstrand's luster-glazed floor vase and a robust piece by Eva Staehr-Nielsen. Carl-Harry Stålhane, Gunnar Nylund, and the duo Erich and Ingrid Triller are represented by several pieces. And none other than Isaac Grünewald has contributed a painting that adorns the inside of a bowl from 1945.
